Accra Hearts Of Oak Emerge 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League Champions After 12 Years

Ghana’s Premier League, Accra Hearts of Oak have won their first Premier League title after 12 years. A week ago, Kumasi Asante Kotoko were competing to elevate Accra Hearts Of Oak from the first position on the league table. But Hearts of Oak who had the same point with Kotoko but goals difference managed to beat the porcupine warriors to secure their position.

Today’s match between Hearts of Oaks and Liberty Professionals was a tough one. Raddy Ovouka who made a cross with the ball got Daniel Afriyie to head the ball into the goal post of Liberty Professionals. This gave Hearts their lead but Liberty equalized at the death.

Luckily for them, the draw was enough because their close rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko were beaten 2-1 by Bechem United at the Nana Gyeabour Park.

The coach of Hearts of Oak has also finally made history for himself. This happens to be his first title in his coaching career. Samuel Boadu, the coach of Hearts of Oak switched to hearts in the middle of the season from Madeama after failing to win a single trophy in four years.
