Former Blackstars Captain Asamoah Gyan has successfully launched his book.
The “LeGYANdery,” a book that talks about the football journey (both positives and negatives) of the football legend Asamoah Gyan and other aspects of his life, was successfully launched on Saturday, April 30th, 2022.
The event was held at the Kempiski Hotel in Accra and attended by the President of Ghana, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo- Addo, Business moguls, entertainers, Chiefs, MPs, Diplomats, Ex Blackstars players, Ex-footballers from other countries, etc.

President Akuffo Addo, as the Chairman of the occasion, officially launched the “LeGYANdary” book, making way for bidders to bid for the fifty copies of the book available at the launch.
Ernest Ofori Sarpong, the Chief Executive Officer of Special Group of Companies, was the first to get a copy of the book at ¢100,000.
Honorable Kennedy Agyapong, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, was the second, and he bought a copy of the book for ¢100,000.
Ghanaian business Mogul Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly called Cheddar, was the third person to get a copy at ¢50,000.
Tony Oteng Gyasi, the former Minister for tourism, was the fourth to get the fourth copy at ¢20,000.
Nana Afua Krobea Asante, the CEO of Amzera Restaurant, was the fifth to buy a copy at ¢20,000.
However, there were others as well, including the President Of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku (¢50,000), Nana Yaw Amponsah, the CEO of Kumasi Asante Kotoko FC (¢10,000), Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanteng, the Minister for Trade & Industry (¢10,000), KGL Group (20,000), and others.
Gyan becomes the first Ghanaian footballer to share his football story through a book.
