Botswana and Uganda Athletes Who Won Medals Gifted With Cars, Money and House

The just ended 2021 olympics in Japan has landed some athletes into good fortune after participating and winning medals for their country.

Others were only congratulated for a successful work done. These athletes from Africa; Botswana and Uganda were not only applauded but also awarded for their hardwork.

Botswana’s 4×400 relay team namely Isaac Makwala, Zibani Ngozi, Bayopo Ndori established a new african record. Thus, becoming the first African nation to win a medal in the 4x400m relay since 2004 with a time of 2 minutes and 57.27 seconds.

For their hardwork, each has been gifted a two bedroom house from the Botswana’s government. Uganda’s President has also presented their three athletes who brought home gold, silver and bronze respectively.

A car plus 5 million shillings, 3 million shillings and one million shillings (1,400 US dollars, 850 US dollars and 285 US dollars) for gold, silver and bronze respectively. Also the Uganda President is building a house for the families of the athletes.
