Breaking: Barcelona Announces Leo Messi Won’t Renew His Contract

Spanish newspaper Marva reported that Messi “had never been further from renewing his Barcelona contract”. The report stated negotiation have reached a point of no return which seems impossible to resolve.

The news has also been confirmed by the FC Barcelona board as it was stated like this; “Despite FC Barcelona and Lionel Messi having reached an agreement and the clear intention of both parties sign a new contract today, this cannot happen because of financial and structural obstacles.

As a result of this situation Messi shall not be staying on at FC Barcelona. Both parties deeply regret that the wishes of the player and the club will ultimately not be fulfilled.

FC Barcelona wholeheartedly expressed it’s gratitude to the player for his contribution to the aggrandisement of the club and wishes him all the best for the future in his personal and professional life”.

As at now the next club team Messi is going to join is not known. But as time goes it would also be reached to the public. Messi who has played 778 games with 672 goals and 305 assists for Barcelona has undoubtfully left a scar in the heart of Barcelona fans.

He was a great player and it saddens most Barcelona fans to see him go. We wish him well wherever his destination lies next.
