Susan Diane Wojcicki, the Chief Executive Officer Of YouTube, has expressed joy for Ghanaian YouTuber Wode Maya for his recent achievement on their video sharing platform.
Wode Maya a month ago became the first Ghanaian content creator on YouTube to gain 1 million subscribers on his channel.

He was awarded by YouTube for this achievement with a YouTube Gold Play Button (Plaque) delivered to him yesterday, January 24, 2022.
He shared photos of it in a post on his various social media platforms and in his caption, he disclosed that since it’s the first one in the country Ghana, he might be carrying it on his head everywhere he goes and this reveals how excited he was.
Not only the Youtuber Wode Maya is excited about this record, but the CEO of YouTube, Susan Diane Wojcicki.
She took to her official twitter page expressing how excited she is for the young champ and revealing to him that she can’t wait to see what will be next for his channel.
She wrote, “So exciting, @wode_maya! Can’t wait to see what’s next for your channel.”

A YouTube gold play button/YouTube plaque is made of a real gold plated brass awarded by YouTube to its most popular channels on its platform.
The plaque is given specifically to channels with 1,000,000 subscribers or more.
