Cease from impersonating me for money -Kuami Eugene warns lookalikes

Ghanaian singer Kuami Eugene has sent a word of caution to his lookalikes or people who try to imitate him to stop impersonating him.

It hasn’t been too long when Kuami Eugene and Kidi’s lookalikes went spotted in a video on social media performing their songs at a private wedding.

The two people have been doing this on several occasions and seems this recent one didn’t go well with the musician and therefore had to come out to send a clear caution to them.

Kuami Eugene indicated he hasn’t been happy with the recdnt happenings of his look-alikes that imitate him to gain money from others.

Further, he said it was a good thing to have young people try to be like you or seeing you as their mentor but taking advantage of that to gain financially is bad.

He disclosed all this during an interview on YFM in Kumasi and sent a strong warning to the people include. He also stated stealing people’s work is illegal.

“It’s just beautiful to have almost every young boy growing up wanting to be like you. People want to sound like me, dress like me but the only problem is when people start going in for money and impersonate me. When someone goes out there to make money off your hard work or sweat, that’s when it’s illegal,” he stated.
