Gospel musicians Diana Antwi Hamilton, better known as Diana Hamilton made history at VGMA22. She emerged as the winner of the 2021 VGMA “Artistes of the Year.”
The Awards night which happened at the Grand Arena, Accra International Conference Center (AICC) in Accra saw splendid music performances.
The likes of Mr Drew, Eno Barony, Adina, Keche, Kuami Eugene, Kidi, Kofi Kinaata, Sarkodie, Efya rocked the show with their performances. And Awards being bagged by various artistes in Ghana. Diana also performed alongside Joe Mettle at the beginning of the program.

It was the second phase for the 22nd Edition of VGMA with hosts Berla Mundi, Giovanni Caleb and Sika Osei. Diana Hamilton before finally being announced as the “Artiste of the Year”, won Awards from other categories.
These categories won includes Gospel Song of the year, Best Gospel Artiste of the Year and Vodafone most popular song.

Finally, the ultimate among all the categories were what most Ghanaians were waiting for. The Artiste of the Year Awards has been won by the evergreen gospel Songstress Diana Hamilton.
She beats Kidi, Sarkodie, Medikal, Adina and Kwame Eugene to win. Kidi has a high expectation of winning the biggest category of the night as he said he will return again. But unfortunately Diana Hamilton didn’t let that happen as indicated by Hon. Deputy Minister.
