A Generous fire service officer who was with the Agona Swedru Fire service in the Central Region couldn’t make it when he was in a rescue mission for three men in a well.
His attempt to rescue the men from the well rather got him drowned and died instantly. Reports from citinewsroom.com has it that the incident occurred at Gomoa Obuasi in the Central Region.

The three men after mistakenly falling into the well signaled the people 5o call the fire service to come to their rescue and Joseph Aidoo the officer who tried rescuing them got drowned in the process.
However the men who fell in the well have been reportedly taken out to the Agona Swedru Hospital for immediate treatment.
Meanwhile the District Chief Executive of Gomoa Central, Benjamin Kojo To has visited the family of the deceased and has vowed that the Assembly together with the Member of Parliament will take in charge of the burial.
