Ghana Police Service Begins Search For Shatta Wale After Viral Reports Claimed He Was Shot

The Ghana police service has begun a search for Shatta wale after viral reports last night claimed the artist was shot and is in a critical condition.

The self-acclaimed African dancehall king Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr widely identified as Shatta Wale had his name in the trends on social media on monday evening, October 19, 2021, after the news broke out that he was allegedly shot at East Legon, in Accra.

Till date, no one has known the hospital the artist has been admitted to or heard from the artist himself coming out to debunk if these are rumours or it’s real. However, many social media users didn’t take this likely as they expressed mixed feelings about this report.

The attention of the Ghana Police Service was drawn to this heart wrenching news and in a post made on their Facebook handle, reveals the Institution has started investigations on the shooting incident involving Shatta Wale.

In the same post, the police disclosed that close friends and relatives of Shatta wale have no idea of the whereabout of the musician presently nor have an idea about his reported gun attack.

The post reads:

“The attention of the attention of the Police has been drawn to the widely circulated news on the alleged gunshot-attack on one Charles Nii Armah Mensah popularly known as Shatta Wale.

On hearing the news, the police have launched an investigation into the matter including making contacts with some of his close friends and family members and all of them claim not to have knowledge of his whereabout or the alleged incident.

A team team has visited the house of Shatta Wale and he cannot be found there.

Over the last few hours, the police have searched and continue to look for Shatta Wale at hospitals in Accra.”
