Ghanaian Musicians With Grammy Awards
Most Ghanaian music lovers are always wondering when musicians in Ghana will be winning more awards at the Grammys. Thorough research has proven the most people are trying to find out Ghanaian artise with a grammy awards. But little do they know that we have had people from Ghanaian who has won an award on the big stage.
The problem related to the ignorance of many is because many their favourite artist haven’t won such award yet. But those who have been there and won the awards are also people’s favorite and top notches.

Ghanaian afro pop musician popularly known as Fuse ODG is the first Ghanaian artist to win a prestigeous at Grammy. The Uk based Ghanaian musician is one of the pioneers of “Azonto” in Ghana and the world. His contribution on British musician Ed Sheeran’s 2017 album got him honoured as the Songwriter of the Year at the 61st edition of the Grammy awards in 2018.
The album “divide” which had one of the popular songs “Bibiaa b3 y3 yie” written by Fuse ODG won the Best Pop Vocal Album as well at the 2018 Grammy Awards. Fuse ODG went ahead to comment on his massive win that very year.
Rocky Dawuni remains the first Ghanaian musician to be nominated for a Grammy award. Although Fuse ODG stands to be the first Ghanaian musician with an award.
Rocky Dawuni’s 6th album titled “Branches of the same tree” was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album in December 2015 in the 58th Annual Grammy Award.
Aside these two great Ghanaian musicians, is a beat maker or producer. Ghanaian popular music producer killbeatz also received production credit on “Bibiaa b3 y3 yie” by Ed Sheeran featuring Fuse ODG.
