Good News To All 2021 BECE Candidates From GES

The Ghana Education Service wishes to inform all parents, candidates and guardians they they will be updated on their wards choice of school, courses, residential status, gender and others.

In a press release chanced on by Edemtrendsgh on GES official facebook page, the management have indicated that bulk sms will be sent to all parents, candidates and guardians on school choices made by the 2021 BECE candidates. This is for them to verify the selected schools, courses, residential status, gender and other information of their wards.

Parents/candidates/guardians who notice any mistakes in their ward information are to notify management for corrections to made. They also indicated is part of the initial preparation towards 2022 CSSPS and it ends on the 22nd February, 2022.

The bulk sms of the school selected will be sent to the contact numbers provided by the candidates during the school selection process. Candidates, parents and guardians are therefore entreated to report to heads of their schools incase of errors for corrections to be made as soon as possible.

Alternatively, parents, candidates, guardians can dial *899*88# and follow the instructions to verify their choice of schools by USSD. You can also visit the online portal ( to go through the verification process.


Start Date: Wednesday, 16th February, 2022.

End Date: Tuesday, 22nd February, 2022

Using the USSD code and online option attract a charge of 0.70p to generate a token. The token code will be used to retrieve your school selection list and other information for verification.

This process isn’t new and doesn’t give the opportunity to candidates to make changes to schools or choose new schools. But rather a means where corrections can be made if there are errors to be corrected.

Parents, candidates and guardians should involve themselves in this process to avoid any further complains.
