A 10-year old girl born Matilda Assabil has been recognized as the youngest female footballer in Africa at the moment.
The news was shared on the twitter handle of Sports Journalist, Saddick Adams who also got facts from one Sista Afia.

Saddick Adams, aka Sports Obama put the spotlight on the youngster who is said to be just 10yrs old. Obama shared a photo of the girl on social media and wrote;
“Matilda Assabil, a 10-year-old who plays for Ghana women’s division one team Starlet Ladies according to @SistaAfia_
As the youngest footballer in the Women’s Leagues, she is probably the youngest professional women’s footballer in Africa, if not the world.
