Ghanaian Gospel singer and evangelist Cecilia Marfo have affirmed she was almost in tears when her worship song ‘washawasay’ started to trend on the internet.
It will be recalled that the ‘Afunumu Ba’ song maker Cecilia Marfo was captured in a viral video on the internet some weeks ago praising her maker and this caught the attention of some social media users who started jamming to the song and a number of TikTok stars as well trying to imitate her due to the terms she used in it.

Speaking about how she felt when she saw such videos on the internet, in an interview on TV XYZ, Cecilia Marfo disclosed she was very surprised and almost cried thinking people were mocking her but she realized it was God’s way of getting his message to both believers and unbelievers of christ looking at how everyone was happy dancing to the song.
For that, she kept calm and became excited. She added that she even dances to the rendition of her song whenever she hears it play.

“I almost cried watching how people were trying to imitate me in their videos thinking they were mocking me but I kept quiet because God told me to be calm and I believed it was God’s way of elevating me so I understood myself and then I became very happy,” she said on Legends on TV XYZ.
