Debtors who have decided not to settle their Qwikloan debts have a message from BoG which needs to be taken serious.
The stern warning was issued by the Bank of Ghana to Ghanaians who have taken QwikLoans from telecommunications network companies and are refusing to pay their debts by failing to register their SIM Cards.
The Central Bank issued the official statement on September 28, 2022, to draw the attention of debtors who still own their Telecommunications networks to pay their arrears immediately.
The penalty for refusal to pay one’s debt will see that person’s sim blocked permanently. Also, it was stated that these people will be tracked down and punished harshly.
