Ruff town records signee, Wendy Shay has asked local award scheme organizers to give artistes a break if they fail to show up at the ceremony.
In Ghana, it has been observed that most artistes do not show up at award event organized to honour them but they either let a manager or anyone at all from their team represent.
This has been the headache of the event organizers since it comes as a disrespectf to them after all the toil. However, Wendy Shay has asked these organizers to avoid the too much complain when they don’t show up.
According to Wendy, a well recognized award scheme like Grammy didn’t get the attendance of 80% of winners who had an award.
