NIA Opens New Registration Points For Ghana Card, Check Them Out

A press statement released on Friday, 18th February, 2022 by the National Identification Authority (NIA) reveals the venues for new registration of the Ghana Card.

The statement which was signed and issued by the acting Head of Corporate Affairs of the NIA, Abudu Abdul-Ganiyu indicates that the venues for the new registration for residents in Greater Accra will be Accra Sports Stadium and El-wak Sports Stadium (Premium Centre) in Accra.

Also, for people in the Ashanti region, the Kumasi Sports Stadium and Ghana National Fire Service (Regional Office) for people in Central region, Cape Coast and the Tamale Sports Stadium.

Apart the El-wak Sports Stadium in Accra, which will been indicated as a Premium Center, other registration locations is free.

This new initiative by National Identification Authority (NIA) is set to take place from Monday 31, 2022 to March 31, 2022. This is to help increase the number registration centres for the Ghana card.

In their statement, they indicated these registration centres will be open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, from Monday to Friday. They will work alongside NIA’s 276 District and 16 Regional offices.

“This intervention has been instituted in response to growing numbers of Ghanaians thronging NIA’s offices nationwide to register for the Ghana Card, particularly, as the deadline for Sim-Card re-registration approaches,” the NIA reveals.
