Qatar 2022: Ghana And Nigeria Gets Missing After FIFA Shortlisted 8 Referees For The 2022 World Cup

Ghana and Nigeria weren’t lucky enough to have a referee representing their respective countries to participate in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. They didn’t have referees among others from Africa who were selected.

FIFA has brought out a list indicating only 8 referee officials from Africa who will get the privilege to rule one or two matches in the upcoming World Cup at Qatar.

The shortlisted African referee includes Jean Jacques Ndala(DR Congo), Papa Bakary Gassama(Gambia), Redouane Jiyed(Morocco), Balmak Tessema(Ethiopia), Mustapha Chorbal(Algeria), Maguette N’diaye(Senegal), Janny Sikazwe(Zambia), Victor Gomez(South Africa).

Some Ghanaians upon noticing the absence of a Ghanaian referee blame some of them for their corrupt lives and bribes they receive during football matches.
