UCC level 100 student knocked down by a sprinter bus to death
Road accident is taking over major issues in the country which needs serious attention. Lots of death through this same road accident has been rampant.
Moreover, road accident do occur as a result of poor roads, reckless driving and refusal of some drivers. And also failure to obey road signs.This same road accident has brought sadness to the University of Cape coast. This is concerning the death of 19 years old Priscilla Owusu Achia.
Priscilla Owusu Achia who was a level 100 student in the school was knocked down by a sprinter bus. In a statement signed by the University’s director of Public Affairs, Major Kofi Baah Bentum(Rtd). The incident which led to the death of the young girl occured when a sprinter bus driver wanted to overtake a fellow driver.
It was also stated that, “Priscilla was in the company of her friends to buy some food items when the bus driver knocked her”. “The incident happened on Saturday April 10, 2021 but she passed on Tuesday April 13, 2021”.
Furthermore, the statement indicates that, the family is aware of the situation and the police has also showing involvement in the investigation.
The death of the young girl has receive reactions from people on social media expressing how sad they are.
This is a sad news indeed and a blow to the parents of UCC level 100 student.
