The newly converted Muslim, Rosemond Alade Brown, popularly known as Akuapem Poloo, has revealed to the public her new Muslim name after converting to Islam.
The Ghanaian actress and socialite was trending on social media last week after she surprised many with her decision to join the Islamic religion. Many social media users thought it was one of her usual attention seeking activities but in reality it was true.
Several photos of her conversion ceremony went viral on social media platforms. This attracted many comments and mixed reactions, some took it likely but others had negative thoughts about it too.
However, the brand influencer has outdoor a new Muslim name to signify that she is a full Muslim. She made this announce on her social media handle to proof the negative talkers wrong.
In this latest posted on Instagram, Akuapem Poloo is seen wearing a white hijab and disclosed that her new name is Haniya, which means “happiness, joy and laughter” in Islam.
She captioned the post: “The name is HANIYA ROSEMOND ALADE BROWN(aka AKUAPEM POLOO) STILL @iamcardib SPIRIT TWINNY”
In a different post she made, her caption was, “Finally I have all the Quran to read and steady so it guides me see the love is too much for me and I promise no turning back so glad one of my wishes has come to pass Alhamdulillah. HANIYA is my new name.
