“I’m The Highest Paid Player In Ghana Currently” – Kumawood Actor Lil Win Claims

Kumawood actor Kwadwo Nkansah popularly known as Lil Win has claimed he is the highest paid player in Ghana currently after signing for Ghanaian Football Club New Edubiase United.

The multi-talented actor who is a musician, a movie producer and as well a very good dancer on Friday, October 15, 2021, signed a two year contract as new player for the division one side New Edubiase United FC in Accra.

He was among twelve players unveiled by the club and videos emerging after his signing has raised mixed reactions on social media as some Ghanaians have questioned if he is capable of playing for the Football Club when given the chance or he just got signed as an ambassador.

Speaking in an interview the 33-year-old comic actor Kwadwo Nkansah Lil Win disclosed he is the highest paid football player in Ghana currently but for how much he will be paid after joining the club, remains undisclosed.

“I have become the highest paid player in Ghana after signing for New Edubiase United F.C. But, I will not be able to mention my salary publicly,” he said.

Yet, it’s not clear if we will see the actor in full action on the football pitch but from hearsay, the contract he signed is for an ambassadorial deal and has an obligation to help promote the team and all other activities that involves the football team.

In a different Interview on Happy FM, an Accra based radio station; Lil Win affirmed he will be playing the number 7 position or any other position as a midfielder. He added, the coach of New Edubiase United team requested for his service.

“I presently play in the Number 7 position or any position in the midfield. The coach is the one who requested for my service.

“The Chief Executive Officer of the Club wants me as the ambassador and the Coach also wants me as a player. I can play the first 45 minutes and with time I can play full 90 minutes. As long as I play for New Edubiase United, no team will beat us,” he added.
