Shatta Wale Arrives At Ankaful Prison To Serve His One Week Remand Term After Being Denied Bail

Ghanaian dancehall musician Shatta Wale has today Friday, October 22, 2021, arrived at the Ankaful Maximum Security Prison to serve his one week remand term after being denied bail by an Accra circuit court.

The popular artist yesterday Thursday, October 21, 2021, in court pleaded not guilty over charges of publication of fake news that brought fear and panic among the general populace. The circuit court in Accra denied Shatta wale bail and have remanded him for one week.

According to reports, Shatta wale arrived at Ankaful Maximum Security Prison on Thursday evening and his three accomplices who allegedly were involved in his act were also remanded as they also pleaded not guilty in court.

They include Iddrisu Yusif his stylish, Kojo Owusu Koranteng a.k.a. Nana Dope, his personal assistant and Eric Venator who is a graphic designer.

Murtala Inusah, an EIB Network’s Court Correspondent who was present at the circuit reported that the court presided over by Mr Emmanuel Marvin Essandoh while remanding the accused said the interest of the public is paramount.
