Ghanaians are yet to receive the Queen’s Baton Relay. On Thursday, 21st of October, 2021, a press conference was held to brief the media on Ghana’s preparations for the Queen’s Baton at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Among the Ghanaians to receive the the baton includes Ghanaian artistes like Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale and Kofi Kinaata. The Baton will land in Accra, Ghana on Monday. But from the 26th to 28th, it will move across the principal streets of Accra, Tema and Kumasi.
The Ghana Olympic Committee on it page also announced that the baton will be held by other dignitaries including the Chief of defense staff and the Inspector General of Police, the commonwealth games and Ghana President members of the committee and other important personality.
Bronze medalist, Samuel Takyi and other sportsman and women who represented Ghana at the commonwealth games will also have access to the baton during its movement. Not forgetting, the President of Ghana will be the first to receive it.
