The one-week observation ceremony for late veteran Ghanaian actor Prince Yawson, popularly called Waakye, has been announced.
According to a close friend of the actor, Bob Smith Junior, a.k.a Diaboloman, the ceremony will take place on August 26, 2022, at the Accra Tourism Information Centre Opposite Afrikiko restaurant in Accra.
Bob Smith disclosed in an interview on TV XYZ that the family has other funerals to take care of, which is the reason for the decision to hold the one-week celebration for the late actor on the 26th of August.
The Ghanaian actor Waakye was reported dead on August 2, 2022. He died at the 37 Military hospital in Accra between the hours of 1:00 pm and 2:00pm.
His colleague actress Maame Dokono reacting to the death of the actor, said the lack of hospital beds at the hospital contributed to the actor’s death.
